The best places to advertise a charity comms role

We’re often asked our view on the best (low cost) places to advertise charity and not-for-profit comms roles. Drawing on the advice of our team, freelance network, and charity clients here are our best suggestions:
- Charity Job – charityjob.co.uk
- Charity Comms – charitycomms.org.uk/sector-jobs
- Third Sector – jobs.thirdsector.co.uk
- PR Week – prweekjobs.co.uk
- Guardian Jobs (not so low cost) – jobs.theguardian.com
There are also some good groups on Facebook, although they tend to be closed so you have to join and be accepted to post. For example, the Third Sector Comms group on Facebook – www.facebook.com/groups/thirdsectorcomms
It goes without saying that posting on LinkedIn and your other social networks is a must. There is a charity comms jobs section on LinkedIn where marketing/PR/digital jobs are advertised.
Of course, it’s not just where you post but what you post. If you’d like us to take a quick look at your recruitment post and suggest how to make it sparkle, just get in touch: ask@standagency.com (we’re pretty good at sparkle)
